When Making Dreams Come True Is As Easy As Brushing Our Teeth

Author: Masami Sato  |  Category: Children

Can\’t making dreams come true be just as easy? Can\’t we free ourselves of our doubts? Is it not possible? How can we do it in a way so that it looks as easy as brushing our teeth? This is an excerpt form the book named ONE by Masami Sato and it shows how it can be done step-by-step, getting one ready to start walking towards one\’s dreams today.

Every one of us has dreams. But every one does not have faith in themselves to have and live those dreams in their own lifetime. In reality, the secret of having such assurance is simple. The reason for our doubting it so much is also clear.

Let\’s begin with the first question that we can ask ourselves

Why don\’t we do the things we want to do?

Often, our thinking stops our actions. Often the more we think about it, the less we usually are committed to achieve what we originally wanted to do. Often the more we think about something, we come up with a greater number of reasons for not doing it.

Is it then possible to be sure that we will definitely accomplish what we want to do in our life?

Yes, absolutely! For a start, let\’s look at the power of habits

If we have an appointment for a meeting tomorrow night, we might not spend too much time worrying whether we can reach there or not. We would not be bothered about the likelihood of having a car accident and not being present at the appointment. In the same way when we walk to the bathroom, we may not worry if the toilet would be broken down.

We have so much more sureness about these types of \’normal\’ activities we indulge in every day. They are the habits.

But, we doubt our dreams

The interesting part is that there are several things that we are not very sure about. These are the things that we really want to do in our lives – our Dreams!

Then, what is the secret for the conviction that we will accomplish our dreams?

First: Decide to make it a daily habit!

We can get started by being more confident about our acts meant to meet our desires – the type of dreams that actually fosters our life.

So, for example, if your dream is to give and contribute to society and giving is a key desire in your life, there is no reason to doubt that it\’s possible for you to contribute to others. It can just become one of your daily habits.

Second: Make it as important (and as easy) as brushing our teeth

Making a dream come true can be just like cleaning the teeth. It gives a very uncomfortable feeling if teeth are not brushed for a long time, isn\’t it? Nobody spends hours thinking which brand of toothpaste to use or postpone brushing till there is some specific need to show clean teeth. We feel ill at ease with teeth that are not clean. So we just clean them. It is as simple as that.

Back to our example, if giving is our utmost desire, then we need to ask ourselves these questions: What if giving actually was as important as brushing our teeth? What if it makes us feel good? And what if it kept our life healthy?

Irrespective of how much or how little we own right now, we surely can start offering it and sharing it today. As such, no matter how improbable the realisation of dreams might appear, we can start walking towards them today. We can definitely do, if we see it as a crucial issue, a top priority that we should stick to every day! Then we will be uncomfortable if we do not do it. Just like cleaning our teeth.

and Third: Give first, then we will get back

When we start giving before we even have what we hope to get – that which we dream of – we are sending out a powerful message to ourselves which tells us, \’there is enough, and more will come.\’ It allows us to feel the joy today – the joy of giving.

If you want to be rich, be generous. And you\’ll be blessed with abundance. If you want to be superbly intelligent, don\’t be afraid to teach others. And you\’ll know more. If you want to give, just give selflessly. Do not attach any expectation of return. Just let go. And joy will automatically be rewarded to you. The simple joy of giving.

So do not be afraid to share and give what you have, for it will not hinder you from achieving your purpose, whatever it is. It will only make you achieve your dreams quicker. And your journey there will be full of joy.

But are not habits smaller, in comparison with our BIG dreams?

Just do it, don\’t be concerned about the \’scale\’

Because anything is possible in life. We might start things in a small way. And these small things will always take us to another action, and another. Having certainty in our small actions and executing them one by one always takes us forward. But if we thought it was \’impossible\’ to do something now because it just seemed \’too big\’, it will never happen.

The secret to achieve your dreams has always been here, and will always be here. The people who create miracles, inspirations, and the real sense of joy, already know this. They are always using it.

Visions and miracles do not happen accidentally. We choose to create them.

So, are you likely to start moving towards your dreams today?

Quick Parenting Guide

Author: Damian Papworth  |  Category: Children

Being a parent is a tremendous affair. It’s supposed to be the best experience in a person’s life. It really is a life changing event. And yet, as with all new things in life, it can be incredibly challenging. Taking in a new life and caring for it is not an easy task. It requires hard work and dedication.

Remember no parent is perfect. Even the most loving parents make mistakes; they may yell at their children in the heat of the moment or they may say things they regret. It’s only human. Sometimes when times get tough it’s good to take a time out.

All parents get frustrated. Let’s face it, having a child takes a lot of time and a lot of energy. The pressures of modern day life can make it overwhelming. To be a good parent means you have to take time for yourself. You need to get your life together so that your child will have a happy, healthy life too.

If you do find that you’re not able to do something it’s ok to take some time out for yourself. Hire a babysitter for a day or ask a friend or relative to look after your children while you go out and catch up with friends or see a movie. We all need breaks sometimes. It’s not a sin to look after your own needs and desires every now and then.

When it comes to being a good parent, there are no ground rules. There really is no perfect parent, no perfect child. All you need is a little love to help your children grow up happy, healthy and wise. Every parent has love to give their child.

Show your child that you love him/her. Displays of affection are heartily encouraged. A child that knows that he/she is loved is much more likely to develop into a confident, well adjusted adult.

Allow your children to talk. Let them tell you about their day, about their thoughts and feelings. Listening to them is a sign of caring. It shows that you respect what they have to say. It helps them build confidence.

Give your child a sense of security. Make them feel safe and secure at home. When they’re afraid, reassure them, offer them comfort. Tell them that you’ll always be there for them.

Give your children a sense of order. Children need to be taught how to keep schedules and how be organized. Have regular meals, play time and bed time. Stick to it.

Tell your children when they’ve done a good job. Praise them often; this will build up their self esteem and give them the confidence they need to get ahead in life. Tell them that you are proud of them.

When disciplining your child don’t criticize them personally; rather, you should berate their actions or behavior. If they’ve misbehaved make them recognize that it’s their acts that aren’t appropriate. Explain to them why what they did was wrong.

Consistency is key. Make sure you stick to your rules and don’t waiver.

Let your child know that you are there for whatever they need. Spend quality time with them. Really make an effort to set aside time for you and your child.

Don’t be afraid to ask for a helping hand.

Awaken From Your Sleep

Author: Carrie Spry  |  Category: Womens

One day I woke up from my unconscious living and realized I had no control over my life. It was on autopilot. I was making decisions, but I was doing it unconsciously. I didn’t even realize how I got where I was. My life feels like a dream. The only thing that does feel real to me is right here in this moment. I wish I had actually enjoyed the past years of my life. I’m not saying I didn’t have fun, I’m saying I simply lived unconsciously.

I realized that if I wanted to be truly happy, that I would have to consciously make decisions. I’m not talking about preconditioned answers that we are all programmed to answer. I’m talking about actually thinking about what I am doing each day, be there in the moment, and making a decision based on that.

If you feel how I felt, its time for you to wake up and take control of your life. There is a world wide awakening right now. We are on the cusp of a “New Earth” so to speak. Have you read Eckhart Tolle’s Book “A New Earth”? Or joined on Oprah’s web casts about it? If not, you don’t know what you are missing. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the truth is, I feel like I have know the information all along, but that is has just come to my attention.

If you learn to live consciously, more positive changes will occur in your life. Keep your mind open, try watching “The Secret” or “Zeitgeist.” Those movies will help to expand your mind. If these movies are even the slightest peak at our futures, it will be an amazing one. I’m not telling you how to think. Just look at the information and make your own decisions.

The Earth is shifting at an alarming pace. Outside influences are no longer shaping our beliefs and decisions. We are searching for our own truths and becoming more independent. And because we are in the 21st century, we will not be killed for thinking differently. There are still some who are uncomfortable with change, however, the numbers are beginning to dwindle. I’m challenging you to wake up and make your own decisions.
