Having a chat with your child about being overweight is a hard thing to do. But it’s very important to do this, in order to prevent health problems later on. There are a few simple steps you can follow to help your child slim down.

Firstly, you have to lead by example and eat healthily yourself. The whole family should eat nutritious meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner times.

Make eating healthy food a family affair, and be sure not to single out one child. You can still allow snacks as long as they’re healthy, just don’t have anything that’s bad for you available.

Next, stop using food as a kind of reward. Don’t tell them they can have a sugary treat for, say, finishing their chores. This kind of reward system has no place in a regular healthy lifestyle.

Once you’ve established a healthy home life, it’s time to think about getting out and about. The whole family can benefit from playing sport or just taking a good walk around the local neighborhood. An overweight child will be more motivated to take up a physical activity if the rest of the family is doing the same.

Above all, remain supportive. Talk to your overweight child to try and understand his or her relationship to food. Be sure not to set very tough or demoralizing weight loss goals. It’s more important for your child to achieve good health than to conform to certain measurements.

Just a few changes will reduce your child’s weight and ensure that the pounds don’t creep back on. As a parent, the best action you can take is to set a good example of healthy living.

Banning unhealthy foodstuffs from the home and always serving healthy meals is the way to be sure your child will succeed. This, and encouraging him or her to be more active, as the two go hand in hand.

Of course, the results will only show after some time. But, by following these steps, you can be sure that your child will not only lose pounds but will also be able control his or her weight easily in future.

Low Vibration & High Vibration Foods

You are what you eat. I’ve heard that from countless health professionals and even my own mother. Do you believe that or not? These words exist in every culture but what do they mean?

In many ancient texts, food was referred to as a path to enlightenment. It either supported our journey or took away from it. When we came onto the planet, we were high vibration (positive). We were innocent, clear and joyful. Think of any child and you understand what I mean. As life progressed, that purity faded away depending on how uncomfortable our environment was.

There are high vibration foods and low vibration foods. Foods with lots of toxins and foods with less toxins. One supports us and the other will kill us.

Foods such as organic fruits, vegetables and sprouted grains have high vibrations. Because our cells are alive we need these live foods to energize and sustain us. They provide living nutrition to us. Our body has about 35 years of natural enzyme production. If you’re wondering why that’s important, it’s because we need enzymes to assist in digesting and absorbing foods. They are the life force or energy of foods. If you eat mostly cooked, processed or high sugar foods you will not receive the life force that you need. You will also not receive the enzymes to break down the nutrition. Your body will start to pillage enzymes from your organs causing burn out, illness and disease. Your vibration will drop.

As your system crashes, your vibration crashes. You feel weak, your energy is low, your thoughts are foggy. You may even get sick. Your only concern is survival.

Once you replenish your body with living foods, your cells will rejuvenate and your vibration will increase. The more living foods you eat, the more alive you are. Food for thought.
